Tracks on Yandex Music sometimes disappear: the rights holder withdraws the license, the release is removed from your country's catalog, or the song becomes unavailable for some other reason. The playlists that contained it lose the track too.
Why a track can't be “brought back” to Yandex Music
Once a track is removed from the catalog, you can no longer listen to it on Yandex Music — neither we nor you can change that. But you don't have to lose the music itself: you can know exactly what was in your playlists and find those tracks again.
Save your library in advance
The best protection is a copy of your track list made before anything goes missing.
- Export your important playlists and “Liked tracks” to text or .txt.
- Keep the files on your own device: it's plain text and opens anywhere.
- Repeat from time to time — especially when the news reports mass removals.
How to restore a playlist
If a playlist has been emptied or deleted, and you have a saved list:
- Upload the list via import from text — the service builds a new playlist from everything currently available in the catalog.
- Tracks that have returned to the catalog or come out as a different release are found automatically.
- For tracks that weren't found, hover over the status to see why — so it's clear what's genuinely missing from the catalog.
If a track isn't in the catalog at all
Your saved list tells you what to look for on other services. To move it to Spotify, for example, follow this guide.
